NCC is starting the operations with 11 units at different locations in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh and plans to expand the operations to 100 Ginning units over the next 5 years in 5 major Cotton growing states of India.  Each of the ginning unit will be constructed as per the TMC norms so as to produce contamination free cotton bales with uniform quality cotton fibre.  NCC is implementing the process of purchasing cotton after thorough verification of the quality so that all the bales in a lot shall be uniform in terms of quality.

NCC is marking the bales based on the quality, thus, instead of giving a genetic names which is common practice now in India. For the first time in India, NCC is implementing the policy of putting brand names for cotton which will denote the actual quality in the bales.

Unlike the present practice of naming the cottons on variety basis,NCC has branded the cottons into three brand names based on the staple length characteristics of the cotton,which is the key criteria for cotton selection. These brand names will be displayed on the cotton bales indicating clearly to the customer, the characteristics of the cotton in the bale.HVI test results will be provided lotwise to customers before dispatch of bales.


The brand names are Supercot, Indcot and Excelcot and the brand matrix is as follows.
